The Doctors and staff at TCVS strive to provide every patient individualized, quality medical care. Unfortunately, short notice cancellations and reschedules, no shows, and late arrivals can prevent other patients needing medical care from being seen. As a courtesy, TCVS provides reminder calls, texts, and emails prior to your pet’s appointment. To ensure you are receiving these reminders we recommend you keep your phone number and email current at all times and sign-up with VitusVet.
Cancellations (or Reschedules): A 24 hour cancellation/reschedule notice is required for all appointments and a 72 hour notice is required for surgery/dental appointments. Notifying our office at least 24 hours in advance allows us to utilize that appointment time for other patients needing medical care. Canceling or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance for appointments or 72 hours for surgery/dentals is considered a “No Show” (see below). Monday appointments and Wednesday surgery/dental appointments must be canceled before 12:00pm on the Friday before.
No Shows: Missed appointments leave vacancies that could have been utilized for another pet needing medical care. As a courtesy, there will be no charge for the first occurrence. Second occurrence, there will be a $40.00 non-refundable service fee applied to your account. Third occurrence, there will be a $59.00 non-refundable service fee applied to your account. The non-refundable service fees will not be applied to any invoices and must be paid at the time of your next booking. Repeated “no shows” will be asked to prepay for their future appointments.
Late Arrivals: When just one pet arrives late, even by just 5-10 minutes, it can throw off the entire schedule. Trying to “squeeze in” a late appointment can create a ripple effect of running behind for all remaining appointments for the day. If you are 10 minutes or more late to your pet’s appointment a late fee of $25 will be assessed to your account. Beyond 15 minutes late is considered a “no show” (see above) and you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. Repeated late arrivals will be asked to prepay for their future appointments.
