Rick Garner, DVM
Dr. Garner attended Texas A&M at College Station, TX from 1971-1972, then was accepted into A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in fall of 1972. He took his first associates position at a clinic in Desoto, TX and then in June of 1978, he stared his own practice in Wylie, TX. In 1987, he sold his practice to move further north to Blue Ridge, TX. In 2004 he started construction on a newer more modern hospital at the current location.
Dr. Garner and his wife Vicki have 3 sons, Jeff, Jason and Justin. They also have 5 Grandchildren. In his spare time, you will find Dr. Garner fishing, hunting, working on antique cars and spoiling his grandchildren.
Jeff Garner, DVM
Dr. Jeff Garner is the son of Dr. Rick Garner. He attended Oklahoma State University and was accepted to Oklahoma State University of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 where he earned his D.V.M in 2007. He then joined Tri County Vet Services.
Dr. Garner and his wife, Annette, have 3 children, Brennan, Carson and Kaitlyn. They currently reside in Blue Ridge. In their spare time they have 2 dogs and a small herd of cattle they enjoy.
Amanda Avery, DVM
Dr. Avery is a 2007 graduate of Oklahoma State University. After graduation she joined an equine practice in Northeast Texas where she remained for 6 1/2 years. Her interests are sports medicine, laminitis and ophthalmology. Dr. Avery prides herself on providing up to date quality care. She grew up in Bonham, TX and now lives in Ivanhoe with her husband, Shane, and their sons, Layton and Landon. In her spare time she enjoys riding, camping and spending time with her family.
